SHORTLIST UNBUILT & CONCEPTS | Interior Design

Project Description

The project originates from an internal garden that becomes the organizing element, strategically positioning the building’s two towers on the site and arranging all the common areas around it. This green nucleus generates a sinuous path between the built elements, creating a journey of exploration that connects the hall, the kids’ space, the party room, wellness room, and the heated pool, revealing surprises at every corner. The materiality embraces coziness through wood, stone, and textures that emphasize tactile experience, achieving sophistication and well-being in an ample space that encourages curiosity.

Project Concept

Located in one of Porto Alegre’s most traditional and valued neighborhoods, Alameda Moinhos responds to the search for a new residential typology in the heart of Moinhos de Vento. Where verticalization meets Porto Alegre’s residential tradition, the project reintroduces the experience of internal gardens into urban verticality, offering facilities and amenities that the region’s older buildings do not possess.

The concept of quiet luxury materializes through an inward-oriented project, where residents gather around the central garden in a friendly relationship with the city and its district. Architectural elements naturally guide the circulation, creating moments of discovery both during day and night. Residents’ privacy is preserved while common areas reveal themselves as fluid spaces of shared experiences.

The innovative element appears with U-Glass, which acts as a spatial divider providing refinement and filtered luminosity, while the architecture and the interior design merge organically. The internal pool with its iconic format offers a 25-meter lane, materializing the concept of integrated wellness. In the towers, each residence features expansive glazing that captures natural luminosity and dynamically frames the urban landscape, from the regional skyline to historical references, creating suspended observatories where daily life unfolds above the metropolitan horizon.

The wellness area brings together a dry sauna, a wet sauna, and a massage room leading to the thermal pool, forming a well-being sanctuary designed for residents who value sophisticated discretion. The result transcends simple residential function, developing a perfect example of refined elegance that honors neighborhood heritage through contemporary architecture integrated with gardens.
