Project Description

Located in Riberalta, Beni, the project is set on a 4-hectare site that preserves the existing Amazonian vegetation. A radial, semi-circular layout connected by covered galleries encourages cross ventilation and shaded circulation. Local materials such as rammed earth, Cuchi wood, and clay tiles reinterpret traditional construction methods with a contemporary lens. The architecture responds to the landscape through honest tectonics, passive strategies, and a coherent material expression adapted to its environment.

Project Concept

Guided by the concept of “Synergy of Connections,” the Amazonian House of Cultures becomes a catalyst for dialogue between community, territory, and knowledge. In a region of rich ecological diversity and social vulnerability, the project forms an open cultural center where the radial structure symbolizes unity and exchange. Rather than imposing, it proposes an architecture that protects, integrates, and transmits—respecting local dynamics and fostering cultural continuity.
