Product Description

Axia is a standalone suspension lamp designed by Vittorio Venezia and Carolina Martinelli for Lodes, combining decorative expression, light and technology in a sculptural yet essential form. Its structure develops around a central axis that houses the electrical system and branches into interconnected arms, creating a continuous and balanced composition. The innovative construction allows electricity to flow directly through the metal structure, eliminating visible cables and preserving the visual purity of the design. Available in Glossy Bronze and Black Chrome, Axia delivers a high, diffused light output that softly embraces the surrounding space. Designed for residential, contract and hospitality environments, it can be used as a striking standalone element or combined in compositions of two or more lamps.

Product Concept

Axia reinterprets the archetype of the chandelier through a contemporary exploration of balance, lightness and technological innovation. The project originates from a simple yet radical gesture: removing the visible wire and allowing electricity to flow through the lamp itself. The central axis becomes the core of both the structure and the electrical system, while the arms branch outward as interconnected elements, transforming technical function into a decorative gesture. Inspired by the Greek meaning of “axia”, value and axis, the design explores the idea of a central element that supports, connects and gives meaning to the whole. By making technology invisible and integrating it directly into the form, Axia creates a new relationship between structure and light. The result is a chandelier that expresses its presence even when switched off, balancing sculptural character, functional clarity and refined illumination.
