In a landscape in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, we were invited to design a set of buildings intended to house various infrastructures along the developing park called Mátria Parque de Flores. Among these structures, the Baffi Restaurant stands out, aiming to provide park visitors with a memorable gastronomic experience, complemented by a breathtaking view. Its design follows an approach that seamlessly integrates with the natural landscape. Its concave-convex structure has been carefully conceived to blend into the surrounding landscape, thus demonstrating that it does not compete with nature but rather integrates with it.
This project has been a dream of the Piazza family for years. Mátria Parque de Flores, recognized as the largest flower park in South America, embodies a collective aim and collaborative effort of an entire city. The restaurant itself involved qualifying and professionalizing hundreds of residents. A total of 250 people were mobilized with one purpose.. Residents of this small town acquired skills and gained a new purpose. Many will continue the legacy of care and history, proud of the plants they planted and the concrete they built. The strength of a city translated into the simplicity and delicacy of a living park.
