Project Description

The Ecological and Educational Park project reflects on the integration between the environment and urbanization, addressing the regeneration of degraded areas in São Paulo. Based on the principles of permaculture and sustainability, it proposes solutions that combine water management, waste management, clean energy generation, and environmental education. Through soil phytoremediation, it values native species and an architecture focused on harmony between the urban and natural environments. It stands as a manifesto for coexistence with anthropogenic contamination, seeking to reframe the human-environment connection within the city.

Project Concept

Coexisting with contamination caused by human activity is no longer merely a responsible or occasional choice—it has become a necessity, increasingly evident in urban contexts marked by environmental and social imbalances. The park embraces this reality to propose a model of regeneration that acknowledges the impacts of urbanization and seeks to reframe contaminated and marginalized areas—those neglected by the logic of the market and industry. This work, while presenting sobering data about the catastrophic environmental situation we currently face both globally and nationally, also suggests a perspective of hope.
