Casa Paulistana is one of only two structures built from scratch in this edition of CASACOR São Paulo—and the largest. The project is based on the reconstruction of a metal structure reused from previous editions of the show, CASACOR Rio 2022 and 2023. “We seek to reflect on sustainability, permanence, and a new way of living in the city, adopting a sustainable approach from the construction method to the reuse of materials,”
Designed from an irregular triangle, the floor plan fluidly and seamlessly organizes the living room, kitchen, reading room, bedroom, and bathroom.
Casa Paulistana
The modernist utopia—a dream designed by masters such as Artigas, Niemeyer, Lina, Reidy, and many others—inspires the design of this house, which reverently contemplates the past to project the yearnings of the future.
Our project stems from the triangular enclosure of preexistence, in the heart of Água Branca Park, a landmark of Casa Cor São Paulo and the first phase of our office in the São Paulo metropolis.
Light and shadow intertwine and shape the space, revealing the essential relationship between man and nature.
The initial architectural concept is the box. Subtracting, opening, creating—a labyrinth of meanings and functions, where form guides experience and the journey reveals shelter.
