We’re presenting a new concept for the outdoor shower, DocolChu-á, created by the architect Alan Chu, which suggests a piece inspired by water games with the garden hose; a symbol of everyone’s collective imaginary. Manufactured from a polished stainless steel tube frame, this game becomes a garden sculpture, placed over the lawn like an erratic hose that, eventually, casts a delicious water stream. In line with Docol’s design and innovation pillar, this piece is yet another of the brand’s initiatives to celebrate Brazilian design.
Inspired by water games with the garden hose, it’s free, winding and exaggerated format suggests the erratic movements of a hose, generated by water pressure. Not only the hose shower is a symbol of the collective imaginary that takes us back to our fun and playful self, but for most of us, it’s a real memory back from the days when we were happier and free. We conceived a game that becomes a garden sculpture. This design is associated with the poetic notion of “water dancing in Space”, which meets Docol’s pursuit for getting the technical quality increasingly closer to art and design.
