El Caballero is a sculptural ceramic lamp composed of a handmade ceramic base and Tala’s Oval bulb. Each piece is cast from a custom mold and then refined by hand, giving it a subtly unique character. Made with Laguna’s Azabache clay and 20% grog, the lamp is unglazed to highlight the raw texture and depth of the fired material.
Inspired by the abstraction of a man in a suit, El Caballero nods to masculinity through its brutalist form and minimal detailing. The name intentionally contrasts the traditionally feminine Spanish word lámpara, playing with gendered language and material presence. It’s a piece about elegance, grounding, and quiet confidence—designed to live in a space as both sculpture and source of light.
