Hipos coffe table was created by Patricia Anastassiadis for Artefacto and is part of the Arcanum collection
It displays pure architecture: a solid top, supported by a base that suggests a curved cut, as if it were a segment of excavated volume.Designed like an amphitheater, carved in solid stone, it refers to her essence as an architect. Freely inspired by the idea of amphitheaters, without being tied to a historical style. It emerges as a “meeting” between the full and the empty. It is a piece of furniture that embraces the versatility of materials, being able to alternate which part is made of stone and which is made of wood. Noble materials and craftsmanship come together to create furniture that defies the ephemerality of time. The collection brings back the look of what endures. Wood, leather and stone are combined in items that pass down through generations. They carry with them the spirit of time and narrative in the quality of design.
