The building was designed with a steel structure, allowing for large spans using slender and delicate elements. This framework also supports tensioned metal brise-soleils, hanging planters, and pergolas that contribute to thermal comfort and establish a microclimate across the building’s levels. Taking advantage of the site’s natural slope, the project creates a highly landscaped lower-level area, set back from the street and hosting a retail space. Access to the building is via a walkway that crosses above this garden, guiding users through treetops to the central circulation core.
The Ibira Work building proposes a post-pandemic approach to corporate architecture—one that values connection to nature, open air, and spatial flexibility. Located near Ibirapuera Park and outside the city’s traditional business districts, it offers a healthier, more relaxed environment for working, in tune with new lifestyle demands.
The project’s core idea is to promote a closer relationship between workspace, landscape, and daily well-being. By dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior through terraces, vegetation, and visual permeability, it fosters both productivity and informal interaction. The spatial sequence—from treetop-level access to rooftop gathering spaces—translates into a corporate experience that is as much about collaboration and rest as it is about work.
