The design integrates artificial landscaping with the site’s natural mountain and sea context, emphasizing elevation changes to create a sequence of sensory experiences. Materials such as rammed earth, yellow rust stone, raw mass stones, and wood-grain concrete were used to express both durability and natural texture. Spatially, the garden interacts intricately with the architecture, creating framed views at various levels through carefully designed window openings. The three levels of the building progressively transition from open courtyards to intimate interior spaces, culminating in a rooftop that offers panoramic sea views.
The concept of L Villa Garden revolves around the poetic tension between “Vitality” and “Serenity.” The design respects the site’s natural spirit while crafting an immersive journey through changing atmospheres, textures, and spatial rhythms. Drawing from traditional Chinese landscape philosophy, the garden is not only a physical space but also a spiritual path—where water, stone, and vegetation orchestrate a meditative dialogue between humans and nature. From the moment of entry, visitors experience a retreat from noise into a layered composition of architectural and natural elements. Sculptural placements, framed views, and symbolic materials aim to quiet the mind and invite introspection. Ultimately, the design seeks to dissolve the boundary between architecture and landscape, guiding individuals toward a deeper connection with themselves and the surrounding world.
