The Commons Spaces are part of a high-rise residential project in Itapema, Santa Catarina, Brazil, with a total built area of about 31,000 m² and an intervention zone of 584.73 m². The 150-meter tower has 50 floors and follows a vertical residential model for optimized land use and urban integration. The Common Spaces are located on the ground, seventh, and fiftieth floors, offering diverse functions to support residents’ daily needs. These areas are designed to enhance community interaction and quality of life through thoughtful spatial distribution and a variety of uses.
The interior spaces were designed with inspiration drawn from a wide range of sources. The “Neo-art Decó” atmosphere mixes with a reinterpretation of Brazilian modernist architecture of the 1960s, incorporating materials and elements commonly associated with the period. The design concept aligns closely with the architectural language of the building, emphasizing harmony between the interiors and the landscape design by Escritório Burle Marx in the external common areas, which integrates with the site and connects strongly to the surrounding natural environment. Art, symbolism, and carefully curated color palettes play a central role in shaping the spatial atmosphere and identity.
