This penthouse in São Paulo’s Pacaembu neighborhood was designed for a family of five, through the complete reorganization of two floors. The lower level includes four suites — three for the children and a master suite with two bathrooms, a walk-in closet, and a private office — plus living and dining rooms, wine cellar, bar, an intimate lounge, kitchen, and service areas. The upper floor, previously closed off with a small pool, was entirely opened to include a spa with sauna and changing room, game room, playroom, home theater, gourmet space with dining and lounge areas, and a new pool integrated with landscaping.
The project was conceived as a continuous space, where architecture, furniture, and landscape intertwine. A sculptural central staircase organizes the layout and connects the floors. Integration is enhanced by the repetition of materials, such as wood panels that create visual continuity in the social areas. Sophistication is achieved through carefully selected design pieces and subtle contrasts between orthogonal lines and soft curves. Natural light flows through the apartment, emphasizing the connection between indoors and outdoors and creating a contemplative atmosphere.
