SHORTLIST ARCHITECTURE | Commercial & Offices

Project Description

Nestled in the heart of Mexico’s Valle de Guadalupe, Pictograma Winery redefines the dialogue between contemporary architecture and the landscape of one of the country’s most prominent wine regions. Designed with an acute sensitivity to its surroundings, the project seamlessly integrates into the rugged terrain, ensuring minimal environmental impact while enhancing the winemaking experience.

Project Concept

The design strategy prioritizes topographic adaptation, allowing the winery to emerge naturally from the site while optimizing passive environmental strategies. A palette of local materials like raw concrete, bricks, weathered steel, and timber, was carefully selected to age gracefully alongside the landscape, evoking a timeless aesthetic that mirrors the winemaking process itself.
