The main request was to integrate the kitchen, living, and dining areas into one large, fluid space. To achieve this, the layout was reconfigured, incorporating balconies into the interior: the main balcony extended the living room, and the private balcony was added to the master suite for more comfort.
In the private area, the bedroom layout was maintained, but custom cabinetry was added to maximize storage. Natural materials were prioritized to create a warm, timeless atmosphere.
Inspired by nature and brazilian culture, this project is grounded in the appreciation of natural materials and traditional techniques, while embracing a contemporary and sophisticated language. The proposal aims to create a sensorial and emotional atmosphere, where the residents can reconnect with elements that evoke memory, belonging, and a strong sense of brazilian identity.
Material selection plays a central role in shaping the space. Locally sourced Brazilian stone, used in the finishes, celebrates the richness and diversity of native resources. A sculptural bench by Hugo França with organic forms that echo the fluidity of nature serves as a striking centerpiece and a synthesis of the overall concept. Wooden panels with braided textures evoke traditional straw crafts, subtly referencing ancestral knowledge and artisanal techniques.
The curated furniture highlights brazilian design, blending tradition and innovation. By incorporating signature pieces from national designers, the project reinforces cultural identity and supports the local creative economy. Another key feature is the brick flooring, reminiscent of old clay tiles found in rural homes, bringing warmth and a soft, nostalgic touch to the space.
