Project Description

Set in the heart of Juhu—one of Mumbai’s most storied seaside districts—Shivkunj is a reimagining of the classic multi-generational Bombay home. Designed by SPASM Design, the house sits within a gridded neighbourhood originally laid out in the 1950s, where architectural styles collide across decades.

This new iteration is both rooted in history and unapologetically contemporary. Project Concept

Filming Shivkunj was an immersive experience. I aimed to capture not just the form and materiality of the architecture, but the feeling of life flowing through it. The anthracite façade, with its crisp lines and seamless connection between indoors and out, lent itself beautifully to the play of light and shadow. Every frame was built to reflect the understated luxury, the art-infused interiors, and the quiet presence of nature woven through the space.

The film is a portrait of a home that holds memory, family, and modernity in perfect balance.
