A luxurious spa and wellness area of over 360 m² is available exclusively to residents of Chalet Ursina, featuring a 14x5m indoor pool, a bar area, a sauna/infrared sauna, a hammam, an ice bath/ice fountain, a sensorial shower, a massage room, dressing rooms, a fully equipped fitness room, and a terrace with a panoramic mountain view.
The project was developed in collaboration of Craft & Concept and Diachok Architects.
The design seamlessly blends alpine charm with luxurious sophistication. Modern design elements, such as sleek furniture and innovative lighting fixtures, coexist with traditional Alpine craftsmanship. This blend creates a unique aesthetic that caters to both the contemporary sensibilities of discerning residents and the timeless charm of the Swiss Alps.
The main task when designing the pool area was to create a cozy and at the same time luxurious place to relax. Diffused light emphasizes the graceful lines of the space. The material of the ceiling above the pool imitates a water wave, refracts light, and visually enlarges the space, making it interactive.
Conceptually, the space is a synergy of wooden and stone surfaces that intersect with each other. The floor is made of stone, with the pool’s edge designed as an overflow with a thin slit, creating the effect of continuity. The stone floor also rises partially onto the walls, enhancing the durability and functionality of the space. The visual centerpiece of the area is a conceptual illuminated circle made of accent stone, serving as a strong and elegant focal point.
