The Walkway House was designed by FGMF in response to the site’s unique topography, a flat grassy area and a steep, wooded slope below street level. A garden-covered slab at street height creates the main access via a path across a reflecting pool. Below, social and leisure spaces open to a large patio with pool and solarium. A 14-meter walkway links this open area to the forested side, where suspended paths connect volumes on pilotis, housing an office and gym elevated among the treetops, creating a seamless relationship between architecture and nature.
Amidst the dense trees and shifting shadows, what stood out wasn’t the structure itself, but how gently it existed. Photographing it felt less like documenting a building and more like tracing a quiet conversation between architecture and the landscape. Elevated walkways, still water, and filtered light cutting through the canopies revealed a balance, a respect. The camera moved cautiously, trying not to disturb what was already in harmony. Nature wasn’t a backdrop, it was the subject.
